APPRAISALS:

We will appraise anything except real estate.

We are not experts in every field, but do have an in depth ability for related research and utilize a large reference library. See the “HOME” page for credentials and qualifications.

Appraisals are placed into three general classifications, or value “tiering”:

• Replacement value – actual cost to replace a given item;
• Fair market – used by IRS for charity donations; legal proceedings, i.e., probate and dissolutions;
• Liquidation – for immediate, “everything must go” sales, often court ordered, or – time constrained, such as a probated estate sale or estate down sizing.

We are qualified in making valuations in all above instances.

Our fees are reasonable: $85 per hour, plus travel time, with a minimum one hour on site. Half time ($42.50 per hour) for report preparation/research.

ESTATE SALES/GENERAL SALES: 

Estate sales consist of the complete household contents, fine art, valuable jewelry, antiques, automobiles and often the residence itself.

We are the auction alternative! Partial estates? Simply downsizing? Off or on premises? Yes, we can do that, too. Estates can range from large to small. We even handled the contents of the 127’ luxury yacht, The “Pzazz”.

We do it all! Our staff cleans, organizes, prices, advertises, and sells estates – both home and business contents. Advertisements and human interest stories go into the major newspapers, direct advertising, and on the internet. We personally notify over 2,000 people on our mailing list, and through email notification about our estate sales.  Professional directional signs are placed at major streets in the area to draw in even more buyers.  We accept cash, checks, and charge cards!

Since we are commission based, we are highly motivated to get the most value for your items.  No upfront costs are required of you.  Fees are deducted from the sale proceeds, and we provide a check and spreadsheet to you showing the total from all sales.
